New soccer fields at a midtown middle school are one step closer to becoming a reality.

About 30 people attended Thursday night's meeting. Some voiced their concerns over parking and noise.

The lighting for the two fields alone will cost $160,000. The lights will stay on until 10:0p.m.

Some neighbors were worried that it would give off too much light and they wouldn't have any privacy.

But, a contingent of project supervisors and representatives, who are making this happen, assured them there will not be any back light.

Elizabeth Coult lives nearby and also worries about the parking situation. But, was told there will be parking available at Doolen Elementary for all of the events.

Groundbreaking is expected to happen by Spring.
