After a three year hiatus, the popular 'IceFest' is returning to Hamilton.
HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -
It happens once every other year, and this time, the world is in ice.
Hamilton kicked off 'IceFest' on Friday, the city's outdoor ice sculpture show. This year's theme is 'Landmarks of the World', showcasing the world's best spots in the form of ice.
Attendees can enjoy a fire and ice gala, live ice carving, dogsled races, children's putt-putt golf, storytime and more. Several local and international carvers are also on hand to show off their talents.
In 2000, Ohio's governor declared and formally recognized Hamilton as 'The City of Sculpture'.
IceFest 2013 is held in downtown Hamilton. Friday starts at 5 until 11 p.m., and all day on Saturday.
