Overturned cement truck in Hopkins Co.

An overturned cement truck is causing traffic delays on a Hopkins County highway.

According to authorities with Hopkins County and the Highway Patrol, the wreck happened on FM 269 approximately 3.5 miles south of I-30.

The truck was loaded with cement which has spilled onto the highway. Clean up crews are working to remove the cement from the road and surrounding area.

The driver of the cement truck had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to a Hopkins County hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

At this point, there is no estimated clean up time on the wreck.

    Every year, 60,000 children are seen in emergency rooms because they got into medicine. Keith Bosen, director of the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, said they get about 10 calls a day about a child under the age 6 getting into some sort of medication.
