MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Stealing the covers is impolite, and for one couple in Myrtle Beach it led to an assault and trip to the slammer.

Myrtle Beach Police were called to a home on Flagg Street Wednesday night where a man reports he was in bed sleeping with his girlfriend.

When the man attempted to grab more of the blanket for himself, the incident report states his "highly intoxicated" girlfriend got mad, jumped on top of him and choked him, leaving bruises and scratches on his neck.

His girlfriend, 42-year-old Tina Berryhill Rucker, was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence.
