Coroner rules suicide really a homicide

There are new details in the investigation launched after a man died from a gunshot wound to the head, and his wife was found deceased near Mount Lemmon days later.

The Office of the Medical Examiner announced today that it has ruled the death a homicide.

Janet Rennspies told police that her husband, Norman Rennspies, shot himself on Nov. 15, 2012. He was transported to a local hospital from the 12000 block of N. Yellow Bird Road and he later died.

Janet went missing around Nov. 21. She was later found dead by Pima County Sheriff's deputies near Mount Lemmon.

The medical examiner continued the investigation and ruled Norman's death a homicide.Oro Valley Police said they are not searching for suspects.
