TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A Mountain View High School teacher received the Teacher Excellence Award this morning.
Charles Kamb, the Special Education/Math Teacher who received the award, has been an employee of the Marana Unified School District since 2008.
Tucson Values Teachers and OfficeMax partner to recognize special teachers in Southern Arizona who bring "something special to the classroom" and go above and beyond in their teaching duties.
Kamb received the award during a presentation ceremony at Mountain View High School.
In nominating Kamb for the award, Mountain View parent Lorell O'Dell's said, "Mr. Kamb is a blessing to all the lives he touches, and he truly does make a difference."
Nominations for the Teacher Excellence Award are accepted online for K-12 teachers.
Every month a teacher receives the award which consists of a $100 gift card from OfficeMax, a bag of school supplies, and another surprise presentation.
