Our cold weather is impacting local flower shops and with Valentine's Day about two weeks away stores are planning ahead.
Some local flower shops are anticipating a shortage of certain flowers because of the freezing temps that swept through a few weeks ago.
We spoke with one local flower shop that says luckily this is not the case for them so far. The Casas Adobes Flower Shop says everything is going according to schedule and they should not be affected by the freeze.
"We don't bring in product that is affected so easily. We will experience seasonal shortages because of the demand but we generally estimate our needs," says owner Mike Cox.
For those of you planning gifts for Valentine's Day, it is still a good idea to call ahead and check with flower shops to make sure they will have the selection you want.
