NORTH AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

Authorities are investigating a shooting death after a victim showed up at Children's Hospital on Wednesday evening.

Officers say Dashawn Wheeler, 19, was a passenger in a car when he was shot in the 900 block of Burton Avenue in North Avondale, around 6:30 p.m.

According to police, those in the car with the man dropped him off at the emergency room at Children's, the nearest hospital to the scene, where he was pronounced dead.

Cincinnati Police are investigating. Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
