PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Mark Lyons scored 20 points as No. 8 Arizona beat Washington State79-65 on Saturday, the Wildcats' fifth consecutive win over the Cougars.

Solomon Hill added 18 points for Arizona (19-2, 7-2 Pac-12), which swept the Washington schools on the road.  Hill scored all his points in the first half, six of which were from three-pointers.

Brock Motum and DaVonte Lacy each scored 15 points to lead Washington State (11-11, 2-7), which has lost four of its past five games. D.J. Shelton added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

When Arizona built a commanding lead it never lost.  Arizona's stride came out strong in the first half where they scored more than half their points.

Within the first tens minutes the excitement and drama came alive for the Cats' as Kevin Parrom got ejected for laying one on Lacy under the basket.

Grant Jerrett rejected two shots from the Cougars making it extremely difficult for them to manage any more than 28 points before half.  Then Hill shut it down by putting up a hail mary buzzer shot going into halftime.
