Celebrate Valentine's Day with your furry friends on Sunday

Celebrate Valentine's Day with your furry friends at the Love Your Dog Social on Sunday, February 10th. This family-friendly party is a fundraiser for Gabriel's Angels, a pet-therapy group that works with at-risk children.

The Social is free to stop by and enjoy. To register your pup in one of the dozens of contests there is a $10 fee per dog. The contests include Best Dressed, Best Trick, Best Smile, plus for kid and dog teams, Best Junior Dog Handler. A trio of judges are on hand starting from 1 until 2:15 PM when the contests close. Awards begin at 2:30 PM. The grand prize for Top Drag receives a VIP pass for the Tucson Lifestyle Magazine's Cover Dog Search on Feb. 16 at La Enchanted Shopping Center.

The entire Love Your Dog Social is family-friendly for kids, adults, and dogs. A Loyal Companion will be there giving your pup a massage for a donation. Gabriel's Angels volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the training and testing process for therapy dogs. Kids can enjoy face painting and balloon animal creations. Plus the Girls Scouts of Southern Arizona will help make dog toys. That's just a few of the activities at the Social.

Tucson News Now's First Alert Meteorologist Erin Jordan will host the event.
