Michelle Petrey appeared in court and plead guilty on Wednesday, in connection with missing funds from the Clearcreek Youth Soccer Association.
WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -
A Springboro woman is sentenced to 18 months in jail for stealing from a youth soccer program.
Back in December, Michelle Petrey, 44, admitted to stealing $64,800 from the Clearcreek Youth Soccer Association in Warren County, Ohio.
An
investigation uncovered she had used the missing funds to pay electric
bills, credit card payments, and herself.
In court on Monday, she was sentenced to 18 months in jail with 15 of those months being suspended.
After court, Petrey began her 90 day jail sentence.
After she's out, the judge sentenced her to 100
hours community service and 3 years community control.
She was ordered to pay
$52,802.08 in restitution which she paid in full on Monday.
