Authorities are investigating a shooting death after a victim showed up at Children's Hospital on Wednesday evening.
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Bond was set Thursday morning for two suspects accused of killing a 19-year-old man.
Dashawn Wheeler, 19, showed up at Children's Hospital Medical Center on Jan. 30 suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Early Wednesday morning, the Cincinnati Police Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested Lavon Oden, 25, and Curtis Boston, 18. Both are charged with aggravated murder. According to Hamilton County court documents, Boston took Wheeler's car keys while Oden held him at gunpoint.
Police determined that Wheeler was shot while he was sitting in a car in the 900 block of Burton Avenue. Cincinnati Police Chief James Craig says he believes Wheeler was not involved in any criminal activity.
Oden and Boston are being held at the Hamilton County Detention Center. Their bonds were set at $1 million during an arraignment on Thursday.
