A local woman is facing potential child abuse charges, after she called 911 to report she choked her child, this is according to TPD officials. The call came in after 10 a.m. to 911, according to officials,
Tucson Police say Jean Cataline, 49, was arrested and faces a charge of attempted 1st degree murder and a felony child abuse charge.

Child abuse charges against a Tucson woman have been upgraded to include murder after the death of her son today.
Police say Jean Cataline, 49, called 911 Jan. 30 to report that she had strangled her son with a cord.
She was charged with attempted murder and child abuse.
Today the 10-year-old boy died, and Cataline is now charged with first-degree murder.
