Crews extinguish car fire in driveway of Monfort Heights home

Fire crews extinguished a vehicle fire Friday morning in the driveway of a Monfort Heights home.

Crews were called to the 4000 block of Boomer Road just after 11 a.m.

Even though the vehicle was parked close to the home, there was no major damage to the house.

No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is unknown.

    A crash involving two vehicles, including a State Trooper with the Arizona Department of Public Safety has closed northbound Interstate 19 at the Ajo Way off ramp.
