More land falls into sinkhole

ASSUMPTION PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

The Assumption sinkhole swallowed more land Tuesday.

Officials say the section that the section that fell on the southwest side of the sinkhole was 50 by 100 feet.

The newest part to fall is not expected to affect Highway 70.

    The latest Arizona economic report shows jobs are increasing statewide and the unemployment rate is dropping, although it's still above the federal figures. And while the state has every reason to celebrate the good news, things are not as stellar in southern Arizona.

    “The concealment of narcotics inside the body is an extremely dangerous method often attempted by smugglers,” said John Schwamm, San Luis Port Director.  “It can be instantly fatal should the narcotics seep through the packaging and be absorbed into the body.”
