The family of a 12-year-old girl who died in a massive pileup on Interstate 275 held a balloon launch on Thursday.
Sammy Reagan was a sixth grader at Columbia Elementary in Kings Mills. She died on Jan. 21 while she was standing outside a car and was struck by a cable barrier.
Students and teachers at Columbia participated in the launch in memory of Sammy. They wrote notes and attached them to the balloons.
