TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Happening this weekend,
some of the brightest minds in Southern Arizona are showing off their science
skills. It's the ‘Tech in Tucson' event.
When thinking about
technology in Southern Arizona, hopefully everyone thinks about defense and
space exploration, but tomorrow we will be hearing about some of the unsung
heroes – bioscience, video game design and alternative energy. They are all going to be at the Tucson
Electric Power headquarters for the ‘Tech in Tucson' showcase.
This is for everyone from
high school students to adults. 40
organizations on the cutting edge, from the U of A to private companies will be
there.
They will be showing off
their latest work, and which innovations are right around the corner, also find
out about Southern Arizona STEM field jobs and how it impacts the local
economy.
Again ‘Tech in Tucson' is
happening at TEP headquarters downtown, the event is free to the public and
runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
