Major winter storm headed our way

Posted: Updated:

A major winter storm will hit Southern Arizona on Tuesday.

On Tuesday expect strong winds increasing from 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph to create hazardous driving conditions with blowing dust. Use extreme caution when traveling in dust-prone areas such as Tucson to Casa Grande and Tucson to Willcox.

Wind-prone locations such as mountains and areas of Cochise County could see the possibility of even stronger winds.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Tuesday for strong gusty winds, low relative humidity values and a high to very high fire danger rating.
