Today at 12:15 a.m., the Cleveland Division of Police Communications Control Section received a call for a accident on I-71S at the I-90W split.
When officers arrived on the scene of the accident they observed two badly damaged vehicles, a 2000 Cadillac Deville and a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis.
Officers report that no one was in the Cadillac and the six people (three adults and three children) were inside the Mercury. EMS transported all six to MetroHealth Medical Center, where they were treated for their injuries.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the Mercury which was driving on I-71S at the I-90W split was struck by the Cadillac, causing it to collide with the cement divider.
After hitting the Mercury the driver of the Cadillac exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
There is nothing further at this time.
