OBERLIN, OH (WOIO) -

At least 100 firefighters from nearly a dozen departments battled a fire at Green Circle Growers on SR 20 in Oberlin on Tuesday.

The fire was reported just after 6 p.m., and burned well into the night. Officials in Lorain County say they had a hard time battling the blaze due to high winds.

Officials believe the fire started in a barn that stores hay for some of the livestock.

Luckily, no one was injured in the massive blaze.

Green Circle Growers is one of the largest greenhouse operations in the Midwest. The company provides plants to area stores such as Home Depot, Heinen's, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and Giant Eagle.

The investigation into the fire continues.

The problem is becoming increasingly troubling for some of the smaller funeral homes in Tucson that are running out of refrigeration space. Bring’s Funeral home is currently at capacity, and they worry this has the potential to become a public health crisis.
