(PHOENIX, AZ) – Sportiqe, the Arizona based lifestyle brand that is known for bringing fashion to the fans, has announced its latest partnership with Phoenix Suns power forward, Channing Frye, to call attention to congenital heart disease amongst children and young adults.
The collaboration featuring the "One Heart" tee will donate a portion of the proceeds to The Frye Family Foundation which will help raise awareness and identify any potential heart problems especially amongst young athletes. The initiative is important to Frye as he has recently discovered he is affected by the disease as well.
"Sportiqe is committed to supporting athletes on and off the court by both partnering with them and giving back to charities that they are involved with." said Jason Franklin, owner and co-founder of Sportiqe. "We are so excited to work with Channing as he is an absolute inspiration for shedding light on this important issue."
"I am excited to partner with Sportiqe and continue to raise awareness for a cause that is so close to home," said Channing Frye, Phoenix Suns power forward. "I feel it is important to bring attention to this issue and hopefully prevent this disease from claiming more young lives."
Frye's condition was diagnosed last Fall during a routine physical prior to the start of Suns training camp. He has not been permitted to workout at all since and his future as a player remains in doubt.
The One Heart tee by Channing Frye and Sportiqe will be available online at www.Sportiqe.com and will retail for $35.
