Brief fiber problem at Hopkins Airport

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A fiber optic outage at Hopkins Airport delayed plane landings on Thursday morning.

An FAA spokesperson says there was a problem with a fiber optic cable so no planes were permitted to land for about 15 minutes.

Construction crews on Brook Park Road hit a power line, causing the issue at the airport.

No flights were forced to land anywhere else, pilots just had to slow down landing procedures.

No major delays are being reported.
