TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police have arrested a man they say fired a gun into the air during a large party last month.

According to the Tucson Police Department, Da'wan Grandville Lord, 20, was arrested and charged with one count of discharging a firearm within the city limits, a class 6 felony.

The incident occurred Jan. 26 at a party at the Standard Apartments at 1800 North Stone Avenue. There were over 1,000 people at the party.

After police released images of the incident which were captured on cell phone video, they received multiple tips regarding the identity of the suspect.

Police say Lord turned himself in today at the Pima County Jail after investigators made contact with his family and friends.
