Ground broken for new UA cancer center in Phoenix

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Ground was broken today in Phoenix for a new University of Arizona Cancer Center facility.

The UACC at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center/Dignity Health outpatient facility is being built on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus at 625 N. Sixth Street. It is scheduled to open in 2015.

The facility, which will be operated by St. Joseph's under an affiliation agreement approved by the Arizona Board of Regents and Dignity Health Arizona, will offer comprehensive cancer services
