TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Two women were arrested and accused of smuggling drugs in buckets of chicken.

The women were passengers on a shuttle van, which was stopped at the Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 19.

Border Patrol agents discovered six bags of methamphetamine hidden in two buckets of chicken.

The drugs weighed nearly six pounds and were valued at $58,700.
