Pedestrian suffers injuries on I-19 near Valencia Road

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A pedestrian was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after a hit-and-run incident on Interstate 19 at Valencia Road.

A vehicle, described as a green Ford Expedition, hit the man and fled the scene around 3:15 p.m., The Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

The extent of the pedestrian's injuries were unknown, the DPS said.

The freeway was not blocked because of the incident.
