TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Douglas Police Department is investigating more than 100 pounds of marijuana found at the Food Bank in Douglas.

Officers say Friday morning they found five large bundles of marijuana hidden inside a box of squash.

The squash was received from the Tucson Food Bank.

Investigators say they have contacted the Tucson Police Department.

No evidence of criminal misconduct on behalf of Douglas Food Bank employees or volunteers was discovered.

Meanwhile, Tucson Community Food Bank is taking measures to prevent it from ever happening again.

Bill Carnegie tells Tucson News Now the food bank is under tight surveillance and he does not think it's an inside job. He adds they'll be doing more thorough inspections from now on.

"We haven't really felt a need to do that with produce that's coming in. Especially when it's coming in in bulk like this product was," said Carnegie. "So, we are going to get our volunteers on it and sort through this stuff and make sure it never happens again."
