Oro Valley police searching for bank robbery suspect

ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Oro Valley police tell Tucson News Now they are searching for a bank robbery suspect.

The robbery took place at the Chase Bank located in the 12000 block of North Oracle in the area of Rancho Vistoso.

According to a police spokesperson, the suspect walked into the bank and demanded money. No weapon was displayed.

The man was seen counting the money, then he asked the teller for more.

He was able to take off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Oro Valley police called in the Pima County Air Unit to help in the search.

Oro Valley Police say the suspect fled the scene in west bound direction on foot, and is described as white male, 5' 10" between 160-170 lbs, black disheveled hair. He was seen wearing a straw hat; he had a long sleeve white under shirt, dark T-shirt, blue jeans and gloves.  

The Oro Valley Police Department is asking for the public assistance in locating this suspect and you are asked to call 911, 88-crime or 229-4900.
