CARROLLTON, KY (FOX19) -
A Carroll County father is facing child abuse charges after a school bus camera caught him shaking his young son.
Otis Collins was cited for assault fourth degree child abuse after the incident on Feb. 22.
Collins reportedly took his child to the bus stop, but the
child did not want to get on the bus. The video showed Collins grab the child
by both his arms and shake him.
"The shaking left a visible injury to the left
arm of the victim," Carroll County Sheriff Jamie Kinman said.
Sheriff Kinman called Social Services and they went to the
school to see the child. They went
to the Collins home, but Otis Collins was not there, so a criminal summons was issued.
