The Arizona Lottery says this is the 19th $1 million Powerball second prize winning ticket sold in Arizona since $2 Powerball launched last year.

Along with generating more millionaires, the Lottery says changes to the game also have resulted in an increased number of winners overall.  There have been more than 30,000 Powerball winners in Arizona during the last week alone.  This includes a $10,000 Arizona winner who purchased the winning ticket near the Arizona–California border in Ehrenberg.

The last grand prize won in Arizona was a record-breaking $587.5 million Powerball jackpot claimed by a Fountain Hills man in December.
