FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AP) -
Arizona's high country could get more than a foot of snow from a storm moving across the state Friday.
Snow started falling Friday morning and is forecast to continue through Saturday.
The National Weather Service forecasts up to 14 inches of snow for elevations above 6,500 feet.
Locations expected to get heavy snowfall include Flagstaff, the White Mountains, the Kaibab Plateau and areas along the Mogollon Rim.
Rainfall in southern and central Arizona will range from a quarter of an inch to an inch.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says motorists should avoid travel if possible or be prepared for slick roads and limited visibility.
