Man arrested after Colerain homicide

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A young man shot and killed early Saturday morning.

The Hamilton county Sheriff's Office were called to an apartment on Jonrose Avenue just before 4:00 a.m. to investigate a report of shots fired.

Officers say when they arrived they found Jordan Smith, 21, dead from a gunshot wound.

Another man in the apartment, Geordan Calhoun, 24, had a gunshot wound in his arm.

After an investigation, Calhoun was arrested and charged with the death of Jordan Smith.

Deputies say Calhoun is charged with having a gun while on probation or parole, trafficking in drugs and murder.

Calhoun is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center to await arraignment.
