TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Never fear, 80-degree temperatures are near!
By the end of next week, highs will be in the 80s, First Alert Meteorologist Cuyler Diggs said Saturday.
Until then, winter weather will finish its push through Southern Arizona, with cool temperatures Saturday night.
"Skies will begin to clear this afternoon," Diggs said. "Overnight, frost will be likely with temperatures dropping into the mid-30s."
Friday's storm dumped close to an inch of rain in many parts of Southern Arizona and knocked out power to 400 Tucson Electric Power customers.
Fifty-mph wind gusts were reported near the pecan orchards in Sahuarita and Green Valley.
National Weather Service measurements in Oracle showed the Pinal County town received more than a half inch of rain in the last 24 hours.
Sunday's high is expected to be 61 degrees, Diggs said.
In northern Arizona, Flagstaff received 12.1 inches of snow and northbound Interstate 17 was closed. The east rim of the Grand Canyon saw a foot of snow.
