TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
A 53-year-old, possibly intoxicated woman suffered life-threatening injuries Monday night in a pedestrian accident east of Ruthrauff Road and La Cholla Boulevard.
Westbound Ruthrauff was closed around 7:10 p.m. as Pima County Sheriff's investigators investigated the scene, Northwest Fire Capt. Adam Goldberg said.
The woman walked into front of a Nissan Pathfinder near Ruthrauff and Calle Reina on the northwest side, Pima Sheriff's Deputy Tom Peine said.
The pedestrian was taken to a Tucson hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, Peine said.
The man driving the Pathfinder and his wife were uninjured.
