TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
$1.1 billion worth of road work around southern Arizona is scheduled to begin or start design in the next five years. The money comes from federal, state, and local government.
Projects include interchanges at I-10 and Ina, the Ruthrauff interchange, and I-19 and Ajo.
There's also plans to develop the Aerospace and Defense Corridor, an area near the airport meant to draw in more companies similar to Raytheon.
And there is increased funding set aside for "pavement preservation," better known as filling potholes.
This week is your chance to add your two cents to the billion dollar budget.
