Man convicted in chemical attack appealing

TUCSON (Tucson News Now) - A local businessman is appealing his conviction and sentencing on charges related to a 2009 chemical bomb attack.

Todd Fries was convicted by a federal jury in October and sentenced this month to more than 12 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.

Investigators say the attack was done as revenge on dissatisfied customers of his power-washing business.  It caused the evacuation of several homes on the northwest side.
