SAHUARITA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Gil Lusk and Josh Matthews will face off in a May 21 runoff for Sahuarita's two-year Town Council seat.
Lusk, a retired U.S. Park Service executive, fell just short of the 50 percent mark required to win the seat outright in Tuesday's primary election.
Lusk received 48.5 percent in the three-way race with Matthews (32.7 percent) and Don Woolley (18.3 percent).
Duane Blumberg, Kara Egbert and Tom Murphy were elected after running unopposed for four-year terms on the council.
Only 27.1 of the town's 13,649 registered voters cast a ballot in the all-mail election.
