Tucson police are investigating a homicide on Tucson's southeast side.
Police say a body was found in a burned-out vehicle near South Dogwood Avenue and East Poinciana Drive today around 3 p.m.
Police have not yet released any information about the identity of the victim.
Tucson firefighters were able to put out the fire and discovered the body in the trunk of the 2-door silver vehicle.
Homicide and arson detectives were on scene earlier this afternoon.
A tow truck has arrived and investigators are having to use flashlights to get to and from the crime scene in thick, rugged terrain.
The area is expected to remain closed until further notice.
Police want to talk to anyone who gathered to watch the fire this afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
