Arizona drivers
can finally see a drop in prices at the pump this week, and Tucson holds its title as having the lowest costing fuel in the state.
In the last week, the statewide
average fell 1.2 cents, at $3.735 per gallon. Prices
dropped nationally by nearly two cents to $3.701 per gallon.
"While it's good to see prices finally reverse course, it is too soon to say
whether retail prices have peaked for the year," Linda Gorman, Director of
Communications and Public Affairs for AAA Arizona said. "However, should we
experience another bump in prices, AAA maintains that prices will likely crest
lower and earlier than in recent years, barring unforeseen circumstances."
Tucson holds the lowest fuel average in Arizona at $3.521 per gallon. Scottsdale
has the most expensive fuel at $3.813 per gallon, respectively.
The nation's cheapest
fuel average is in Wyoming at $3.315 per gallon, and California is the most
expensive at $4.150 per gallon.
