What's new this season at GABP?

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Opening Day is two weeks away, and Great American Ball Park has several new features for the 2013 season.

Among the improvements:

  • The Reds team shop will have a new look for the new season, with an open floor concept. Large wall graphics of players were added and new entrances are aimed at providing better access and customer flow. The store will also feature new lines of merchandise.
  • 26 of the 50 ballpark suites have gotten an off-season makeover with upgraded furniture and decor. There is also a new mega party suite that is still under construction and can accommodate 40 to 60 guests.
  • The new Budweiser Bowtie Bar is located over the visitors bullpen in right field. When complete it will be a three-tiered bar that can seat up to 90 fans.
  • For younger fans, the Kroger Sweet is a grab-and-go concept that will feature candy and Coke products. It's located on the terrace level concourse along the third base line.
  • Crosley Terrace is also undergoing a makeover. Entrance gates are being eliminated to allow fans to get closer access to the ballpark. A stage is also being built for bands to perform on game days.
