Driver taken to hospital after car slams into tree

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Metro police are investigating an early morning wreck that sent the driver to the hospital. 

A car was traveling southbound on Habersham when it slammed into a tree just past the Habersham and Henry St. intersection around 6:30 a.m. Monday. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. 

The wreck has been cleared and no traffic was affected.

Savannah-Chatham Metro police are looking into to the cause of the crash.
