TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

More ice cream and more jobs are coming to Tucson.

Blue Bell Creameries is breaking ground on a new 14,000 square-foot branch facility on East Old Vail Road near South Rita Road.

There will be an official ground-breaking ceremony this morning with the Mayor of Tucson and other local political and business leaders.

Blue Bell first came to Tucson in 2005 and is sold throughout Arizona and 21 other states.

The exact number of jobs it will provide still isn't known, but they are opening a larger facility than they originally planned for.

The new distribution and sales facility will open sometime this fall.

    Police in Tucson arrested a former assistant volleyball coach for what they say was a sexual relationship with an underage girl. Officers started investigating Saturday, January 20, a potential relationship between 22-year-old Robert Forman II and a girl he met at Ironwood Ridge High School, according to a release from the department.
