CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Three of the six teenagers charged in the beating of a North College Hill man pled guilty Monday morning.
The boys are charged with assaulting Pat Mahaney, 45, on Aug. 11, 2012 because they were "bored and looking for something to do."
Mahaney spent several days in the hospital after the attack.
As part of a plea deal, the three teens admitted to the felonious assault charges in exchange for the prosecutor to drop the aggravated riot charge.
The plea deal also withdraws the serious youth offenders statute from their record.
The boys were also ordered to stay away from Mahaney and his family.
An investigation will take place over the next couple weeks to determine probation and the amount in restitution the teens will pay for Mahaney's medical bills.
The other three teens charged in the attack will have their pre-trial hearings later in March and April.
The names of the teens are not being released due to their ages.
