A marine who lost both of his legs to an explosive device visited Phoenix recently and some fellow travelers say he was treated unfairly by airport security.
The attached photo, provided in a note from a California congressman to the Transportation Security Administration, shows the marine going through security.
He says the marine was forced to remove his prosthetic legs and get out of his wheelchair so agents could check it for explosives.
But, our sister station in Phoenix reports that TSA is telling a different story; that the man did not remove his prosthetics and screening was done by two veterans in less than eight minutes.
They did say they are working to make screening for wounded warriors a better experience overall.
