A Maryland School District wants to put a limit on hugging at elementary schools as part of several new safety rules.
Under the rules, any school visitor would be restricted from hugging students while on elementary school campuses.
Another rule says parents would not be allowed to bring homemade treats to class because some students have food allergies.
The board will vote in the new policy before the end of the school year.
