County sex charges have been filed against a community activist who works for Cleveland City Hall.

A Cuyahoga County Grand Jury has indicted James Box on eleven charges, including kidnapping, attempted rape, attempted sexual battery, gross sexual imposition and soliciting.

Court papers say this involves at least one incident at Amer-i-can office on Lee Road in Shaker Heights. Box is accused of groping two young women.

Box has been outspoken working in the streets.

19 Action News contacted Box about the charges by phone and he said, "I didn't know anything about that. None of that's true."

Box has been suspended without pay from the city's Community Relations Department.
