TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Today in
Phoenix, arguments were presented in federal court to block Gov. Jan Brewer's
order, denying driver's licenses for young immigrants avoiding deportation.
Last year,
President Obama issued an executive order granting two-year delays in
deportation for young people brought into the country illegally as children.
A lawsuit by
immigrant rights advocates says Brewer's policy is
unconstitutional because it is trumped by the new federal policy.
