A new agreement buys some extra time for an ailing Southern Arizona copper mine.
Nord Resources has extended a deal with an investment company to buy copper produced by the Johnson Camp Operation outside Willcox.
Nord suspended new ore mining at Johnson Camp more than two years ago in the face of falling prices. But it continues processing existing material at the site.
The new agreement runs through the end of June with renewal options following.
