Pima County dedicated its first-ever park in Green Valley this morning.
When finished, the final cost will be nearly $6.5 million but the money comes from a variety of sources, including a future bond sale.
If voters approve the bonds, the park will be expanded to include more softball fields, covered bleachers, trails and a dog park.
The county approved Canoa Preserve Community Park last year when it became apparent there was a lack of facilities for a growing number of softball teams in the area.
