Sun Devil Army Reserve invites Tim Tebow to military ball

TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

Some military men and women in Arizona have a request for NFL quarterback Tim Tebow.

The Sun Devil Battalion Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), which is made up of cadets from ASU and Grand Canyon University, is hosting their annual military ball on April 20 and have asked Tebow to be a guest speaker.

"When considering a guest speaker for such an event, there are certain attributes that we look for: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. It was, without hesitation, decided that you exemplify all of these Army values, which is why we would be honored to host you as the keynote speaker for our event," the letter to Tebow said.

The letter went on to say, "The purpose of Army ROTC is to develop and strengthen future leaders. It takes a leader to stand for what he/she believes in, and you do this well. We value the insights you have on leadership and would be honored to have you share these insights with us."

No word if Tebow has received the letter yet.
